We arrived in the middle of a week long celebration of Songkran - April 13. Thankfully, it ended in Phuket the same day. As we walked to the beach that morning after we arrived, we were soaked from head to toe in water. The locals and tourists enjoyed pouring and spraying water all over one another. Bystanders did not receive mercy either. Martin said he enjoyed it; I surely did not. My last straw was when a stranger pulled off my hat to pour water down my dress. At this point in time I swore out loud, and told them to not touch me. Being doust in water was already putting me on edge, being touched by a stranger was crossing the line. Oh, and being sprayed in the face is definitely not a tradition I will get on board about. So thank you Thaliand, but my unintentional attendance of your festival will NEVER happen again, I promise you that.

That is all for now. I have a few photos to share of my first day in Singapore and the rest of our Thailand stay. But it's time to get up and pack. Stay tuned!
